more art(ish)

I turned 27 last week.  I am officially in my late 20s, and it sounds much older than I feel.  In high school I definitely imagined that my life would be much more settled at this point, but I think that's ok.  Just gotta make sure to have fun, count your blessings, and keep on truckin' I guess.

At any rate, here is something I drew when I couldn't sleep on  my bday.  I can't for the life of me remember why I decided to draw a train, but I think I was thinking about movement.  Someone told me 27 is supposed to be a year of change, but I guess any year can be a big year if you want it to be.  I drew the girl bandit because I am trying to learn how to draw faces and I decided to start with the eyes.

I couldn't figure out the best way to take a photo of a drawing so I included two versions here (one with flash and one without).

Art!(ish)

I kind of started drawing this fall, and my sister says it's a good idea to post your art on the internet so people can tell you what you're doing wrong:).

So, here's something I drew the other night:

It was kind of inspired by a painting one of our professors included in a lecture here:
